The number

~382,000 people experiencing homelessness across England. That’s the reason the challenge is named what it is — a reminder of the scale, not a claim we’ve already fed that many. The work starts in Stockport and surrounding areas.

The model

Buy 1 Give 1 restaurant nights: every guest bowl funds a matching meal for someone facing hunger. Local support partners help provide it, and it is not necessarily prepared or given on the same night. Comfort food with a clear loop — eat, give, keep the kitchen moving.

The raise

The Crowdfunder — 382k Reasons: Feeding the UK, One Bowl at a Time — targets £8,000 toward growing into other areas and building the workforce so Buy 1 Give 1 becomes a constant thing. Insulated thermal flasks keep meals hot for people sleeping rough. Closes 27 Oct 2026.
